Our 'Teapocalypse' sets began as a jesting conversation, and slowly became more serious the longer we discussed it.
In the end, we chose a selection of teas that we thought would be the most useful, if modern life failed, and split them into groups to give you a bit more choice.
Our Teapocalypse (Injury) contains our two pain teas 'Something for the Pain' and 'Achievement Unlocked: Still Standing,' as well as our 'AnTeaInfection,' and 'Bone Binder.
Our Teapocalypse (Illness) contains our immune system tea (S.H.I.E.L.D.), our general cold/flu/illness tea (Hershel's Gift), our 'Back to Breathing,' and our 'Fever-B-Gone.'
The complete set adds our 'Dog's Life: Ash's Phoenix,' our Heart's Ease (Original), and our SereniTea: Mellow Breeze. This allows for taking care of your companions, although 'Ash's Phoenix' will work for humans, too. It also gives a bit of assistance in areas where care will still be needed, even after the pharmacies are no longer functioning.
Thyroid Stabilizer was blended because of a series of conversations with a lady who has a thyroid that see-saws. Depending on the day, how her medications are working or interacting, she deals with both sides (hypo and hyper) of thyroid issues. So we set out to blend a tea that would help to balance the thyroid and generally improve thyroid health.
The tea is a little earthy, a little spicey, and a bit of seaweed. It is one of our more savory teas, but the turmeric balances it in a fairly pleasant way.
Well-Liver Twist came about because a gent Mister Tea shared classes with had a relatively bad accident, and ended up with liver issues from medication side effects and infections from his time in the hospital. As he had heard Mister Tea rant about what we do, he asked if we had anything that would help.
Some research and a bit of taste blending, and within a few days we had two teas for him. One was Well-Liver Twist, to help heal and clean his liver, and Bone Binder to help with the initial injuries from the accident.
Yoshi's Goomba Muncher came about because a family member who was used to the "I have a tea for that!" discovered that we didn't actually have a tea for fungal infections yet... and asked that we create one. We ended up creating two, and because of shared video game geekery, we chose to name them accordingly.
Yoshi's Goomba Muncher tastes of lavender and lemongrass and green tea.
